Why Cambridge

Cambridge Federal is proud to have its main facility in Cambridge, Maryland.  Cambridge, MD is a historic, waterfront, small town located in Dorchester County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, approximately 70 miles southeast of Washington DC, 50 miles from Ocean City, Maryland and only 27 flight miles from PAX River Naval Air Station.  Cambridge, MD is a prime location for successful government workers looking for work outside the city and for the well-educated students of Salisbury University looking to obtain an internship, part-time work and full-time work after graduating.  Cambridge also allows workers easy access to the beach to relax after a long yet successful week of work.

Cambridge, MD has a small, rural town vibe but in recent years, it has been a thriving and prosperous location for small businesses. Cambridge’s Economic Development Office and its partners have created and promoted programs and initiatives that sustain and grow the local economy and create jobs for residents. Along with strong support and growth opportunities, Cambridge Federal is a founding member of the Dorchester County Department of Economic Development incubator initiative.

Dorchester County is a HUBZone county, meaning the HUBZone will only be reassessed once every 10 years, i.e, census data from 2010, 2020, 2030.   This affords Cambridge Federal’s contracting partners a low risk solution to not only meet their HUBZone subcontracting goals and requirements, but the ability to sustain them over the full life of the contracts.

Located right in Cambridge is the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina. Cambridge Federal and the Hyatt Regency have a corporate affiliation that allows all Cambridge Federal clients and affiliates overnight packages and special rates.
